James Keith Family File CD

James Keith, an Episcopalian minister known as Parson Keith, emigrated from his native Scotland, where he was a professor of the Mareschal College of Aberdeen, after having been involved in the Stuart uprising, and came to Virginia ca 1719. He married Mary Isham Randolph and died in Prince William County in 1754, leaving issue.

The James Keith family report file includes 1,301 individuals with 272 different surnames and 17,201 text records.  The earliest known birth occurred in 1696 and the file covers 10 generations.

Of the 272 surnames included, other than Keith those appearing ten or more times: Ambler, Armistead, Barton, Blackford, Braxton, Burnley, Byrd, Colston, Douthat, Goodwin, Hawkins, Jones, Lee, Marshall, Mason, Smith, Stribling, Taliaferro, Taylor, and Willcox.
