     Philip Pendleton Order Form

Philip Pendleton, a school master, emigrated from his native town of Norwich in Norfolk, England to Virginia in 1674 with his brother, Nathaniel, a clergyman. They settled first in Rappahannock County. Nathaniel soon died without issue, but Philip lived. He married Isabella Hart, in 1682, and they resided in that part of New Kent County that later became Caroline, later removing to Essex County and, lastly, in King and Queen County where he died leaving issue.

The Philip Pendleton file includes information on 5,510 descendants with 1,037 different surnames. It covers fourteen generations, with the earliest known birth occurring in 1654.
